Message from John

Hi All:

It is hard to believe it has been almost a week since our last get together.  Patty and I are excited about these Friday nights, as our discussions and reflections are most certainly enriching our faith lives.

After the meeting we got some feedback and hope to incorporate some of the following into our future FAFF sessions.

  • Gather at 6:45-7PM
  • Share in a simple pot luck dinner
  • Get underway with discussion and prayer by 7:45PM
  • Conclude at about 9PM, with the option of some or all staying longer
  • Allow more time for prayer toward the end of the meeting

Finally, please let us know if you will be able to attend. And please invite a friend to join us. God Bless!

Creation of Adam - Michaelangelo

Hi and welcome!
If you are a young adult, that is a person roughly between the age of 20 and 40+ you might be interested in our new ministry... But in all honesty, all are welcome! Married, single, religious, man and woman...What matters the most is that we are young in heart. Well we are just beginning - We need your help and ideas. The only requirement is that you bring a smile, some enthusiasm, plenty of desire to know other people and to grow in faith.

† Fr. Tomasz

We meet once a month on Fridays for faith sharing and fellowship.

"Young adult Catholics are legion. Statistical surveys indicate as much. Yet when I step over the threshold of my parish church, I see very few of my peers. This always disheartens me. Where have they gone? Why aren’t they here?" [taken from "Staying Catholic at Twenty-Something."]

FOR OUR NEXT MEETING LET'S READ THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE FROM AMERICA MAGAZINE: "STAYING CATHOLIC AT TWENTY- SOMETHING." by Karla Manternach

READING SUGGESTION

DEUS CARITAS EST... GOD IS LOVE - The first encyclical of Pope Benedict on love...

CHECK IT OUT...

DEUS CARITAS EST
“God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him” (1 Jn 4:16). These words from the First Letter of John express with remarkable clarity the heart of the Christian faith: the Christian image of God and the resulting image of mankind and its destiny. In the same verse, Saint John also offers a kind of summary of the Christian life: “We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us”.
