From Tim C. / 07-18-05
I would like to add 2 things and mention a 3rd & 4th
thing (huh?):
(1)
I want to reiterate what I said last night – it
was truly an honor to be able to spend this past weekend with
you soaking in the glory of Christ. You gals are all Wonder
Women and you guys are all Men of Glory. I would go to another
youth conference with each and every one of you anytime without
a second’s hesitation. Please make sure your parents see this,
because I want them to know what wonderful, spiritual sons and
daughters they have (I’m sure they already know it, but I’d just
like to let them hear it from me). I am so glad I’ve gotten to
know you all and I hope I will have the chance to get to know
you all even better in the coming weeks and months (well, of
course I won’t have that opportunity when it comes to you, Anna,
but I hope we will see you again next year and that you will
stay in touch – with all of us and with Jesus – and send me your
zip code so I can look up LIFE TEEN parishes in your area).
(2)
If you would like to write testimonies about your
experiences at Steubenville (specific things or just a general
impression), Fr. T would be more than happy to post them on the
Jasna Gora website. You can e-mail them directly to him at
frtomasz@msn.com.
Please copy me if/when you send them, because I’d love to read
them.
(3)
We are trying to organize a group to go to the
Proud 2B Catholic festival in Framingham. I can get the tickets
for $10 a piece (it is $20 at the gate) if we have more than 20
people going. In addition, if we have enough people, I will try
to get a bus that would stop in Clinton and Marlboro and take
everyone together to Framingham (and back again, too). It would
leave around 11:00 am and head back from the festival at 9:00 pm
after the last performance. Let me know if you definitely want
to go and please also let your friends know. I have touched
bases with St. Richards in Sterling and I.C. in Marlboro to see
if they want to team up and all go together. I’ll let you know
what develops. I will be sending an e-mail out to everyone I
think might be interested (if I have their e-mail address).
Feel free to forward the message along (and give me the e-mail
address of anyone you think would be interested in hearing about
anything our LIFE TEEN group is up to on an on-going basis).
(4)
We have decided to re-schedule the Six Flags trip
to Saturday, August 13th, because very few people can
go on Thursday, July 28th. If you are interested in
going to Six Flags on that date, let me know and – again –
invite any and all of your friends. Assuming we have a good
response, we would like to arrange a bus for that, as well.
Because of that – and because several of you will be away on
Sunday, August 14th – I am rescheduling our Totally
80s Dance Night for the Fall Semester. So on August 14th
we will “just” have LIFE TEEN Mass (as if sharing in the mystery
of the Eucharist wasn’t enough). Don’t forget, by the way, that
LIFE TEEN will get into full swing beginning in September. The
first semester will be on Prayer and the theme of the semester
revolves around cell phones (you’ll see what I’m talking
about). More details about the Fall semester to come.
