Youth Group.  The Clinton Area LIFE TEEN Youth Ministry “restarts” on Sunday, September 17th at Our Lady of Jasna Gora Parish on Franklin Street in Clinton with new-and-improved gatherings, skits, music, games, food and discussions. The high school youth group meets Sundays in the lower Church following the 5:30 pm contemporary music Mass.  Contact the Rectory at (978) 365-2724 for more information or visit www.jasna-gora.org.  All teens are welcome – bring a friend!

LIFT Nights – Catholic Worship for a new Generation!

Sept. 12, 2006, 7-9 pm.  LIFT is a FREE monthly worship gathering on the third Tuesday of each month at the Dedham High School auditorium.  LIFT uses modern elements such as professional lighting and sound, video screens displaying worship imagery and song lyrics, creative environments and the latest in contemporary praise and worship music performed by a live band to enhance the worship experience.  The Sept. 12 event features Caroline Gambale.  These gatherings are for all ages, so bring friends or family.  The Clinton area Life Teen Youth Ministry will be car-pooling to Dedham, so if you need a ride, contact Tim Cross at t.cross@shoplegacy.com.  We will be departing from OLJG at 5:30 and should return around 10 pm.  Future dates are Oct. 17, Nov. 21, and Dec. 19.  You can check it out ahead of time at www.liftedhigher.com.

g2g Conference

Nov. 4, 2006, 9 am - 9 pm.  The g2g conference is for youths and adults to praise the Lord together through praise and worship, guest speakers, confession, Mass and Eucharistic adoration.  The cost is $30 per person and includes 1 meal (bring $6-10 for dinner).  Make checks payable to CRS Boston and give them to Fr. Tomasz or Tim Cross at the 5:30 mass.  Registration forms will be available in the church foyer.  g2g takes place at the Glen Ellen Country Club in Mills, MA.  For more info: www.stbrendanteenpage.org.

Pinch a Penny

This weekend, the LIFE TEEN Youth Ministry will place a Poland Springs water jug in the foyer of the Church.  It’s our new piggybank to raise funds to pay for our recent Steubenville Youth Conference trip and other LIFE TEEN activities.? Please consider tossing any loose change in your pockets or purse into the jug each week and watch our savings grow and the Youth Ministry deficit shrink.

LT SUNDAY I TUNES

Worcester Diocese Vocation Website

My Dear Young Friends,

Even though you are young, the time for action is now! It is time to let your light shine.
      Remember, Christ is calling you;
the Church needs you; The Pope believes in you, and he expects great thing of you.

          Pope John Paul II.

 Know:

"Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." -Nelson Mandela

Top Story

Dear young men and women!

Trust Christ; listen attentively to his teachings, fix your eyes on his face, persevere in listening to his Word. Allow Him to focus your search and your aspirations, all your ideals and the desires of your heart.

[taken from the letter that JP II wrote on the occasion of
the World Day of Prayer for Vocations 2005]

"It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; he is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; he is the beautify to which you are so attracted; it is he who provokes you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise; it is he who urges you to shed off the mask of a false life; it is he who reads in your heart your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle. It is Jesus who stirs in you the desire to do something great with you lives, the will to follow an ideal, the refusal to allow yourselves to be grounded down by mediocrity, the courage to commit yourselves humbly and patiently to improving yourselves and society, making the world more human and more fraternal."

"But - I ask you - is it better to be resigned to a life without ideals... or rather, ... to seek truth, goodness, justice, working for a world that reflects the beauty of God, even at the cost of facing the trails that it may involve?"
