On behalf of the Parish Community of Our Lady of Jasna Gora, we would like to extend our deepest sympathy at the loss of your loved one. Please know that we are here to help you and support you during this difficult time. 

 

We will assist you in the planning of the Funeral Mass, and suggest ways for family and friends to be personally involved.

 

Please call the Office and ask for Fr. Tomasz to help plan your loved one’s funeral. The following scripture readings are commonly used at Catholic Funeral Rites. They are beautiful passages of comfort, peace, and hope.

Catherine R. ”Catty” (Fitzgerald) Duchnowski, 84, of 24 Water St. died Wednesday, July 6, 2005 in Bolton Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Marlboro after an illness. Her husband of 28 years, Walter J. Duchnowski, Sr. died in 1968.

She is survived by two sons, Walter J. and his wife, Carol Duchnowski of Buzzards Bay, and Dennis V. and his wife, Alice Duchnowski of Clinton; two daughters, Rosalie A. and her husband, Philip Leaman of Boylston, and Rita E. Ciavola of Niceville, FL; a sister, Theresa Duchnowkski of Clinton; a twin brother, William E. Fitzgerald of Clinton, and a brother, George Fitzgerald of Albany, NY; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John Fitzgerald of FL.

Born in Springfield, the daughter of William H. and Catherine A. (Whelan) Fitzgerald, she lived in Clinton most of her life.

She worked as a nurse’s aide at Clinton Hospital for 28 years before her retirement in 1981.

She was a member of Our Lady of Jasna Gora Parish. She loved family, playing Bingo, and spending time with her many friends.

Catherine’s will be held Saturday, July 9, 2005 from McNally & Watson Funeral Home; 304 Church Street with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Jasna Gora Church, 128 Franklin St. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. Calling hours will be held Friday, July 8, 2005 from 5 – 8 PM in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions made to St. Mary Elementary School, 128R School St., Clinton, MA, 01510 or to Bolton Manor Activity Fund, 400 Bolton St , Marlboro, MA 01752
 
Francis P. Dedecko, 78, of 551 Wattaquadock Rd. and Jensen Beach, FL, died Friday, July 1st, 2005 in Nashoba Valley Medical Center, Ayer after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Betty H. (Heinold) Dedecko; two sons, William F. Dedecko of Worcester and John J. Dedecko of Lancaster; a brother, Joseph Dedecko of Marlborough; five grandchildren, Andrea Rivera, Rachel, Laura, Thomas and Beth Dedecko; a great granddaughter, Isabella Rivera; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death were four brothers.

Francis was born in Clinton, a son of William and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Dedecko and lived in Hudson before moving to Bolton in 1950.

He worked at the former Colonial Press Inc. in Clinton for many years before becoming the owner and operator of Bolton Printing, Inc. where he worked for many years, retiring in 1992.

He graduated as a printer from Worcester Boy’s Trade. He was a former member of the Bolton Lions Club and an avid fisherman. He was a US Coast Guard Veteran of WWII.

Funeral services for Francis will be held on Wednesday, July 6th, 2005 at 11:30AM in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church Street, Clinton. Burial will follow in South Cemetery, Bolton. Calling hours in the funeral home will held on Wednesday, July 6th from 10:30 – 11:30AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Mary Elementary School, 128 R Franklin Street, Clinton, MA 01510 or Bolton Ambulance Fund, 697 Main Street, Bolton, MA 01740.
 
Mitchell J. Domkowski, 52, of Clinton and Fitchburg died Saturday June 18,2005 in Fitchburg after being stricken ill.

He leaves his mother; Shirley A. (Merrill) Haynes of Bolton; three brothers, Stephen P. Domkowski of Santa Rosa, CA, Edmund F. Domkowski of Jaffrey, NH and Mark R. Domkowski of Gardner; a sister, Arlene F. Gnoza of Clinton; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. His father, Stephen T. Domkowski in 1982 and a sister, Cheryl A. Burke in 2001 predeceased him.

Mitchell was born and raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School.

He was a former member of Our Lady of Jasna Gora Church.

Mitchell enjoyed bicycle riding, playing the guitar and singing. He helped form the band, The Sound Effects.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2005 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Jasna Gora Church, 128 Franklin St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in his memory to a charity of one’s choice. The McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St. is directing arrangements.
 

 

  Sylvester J. Kosiewski, 90, of 79 Poulin Drive died Friday, April 29, 2005 in the Worcester Medical Center.

He leaves his wife of sixty-six years, Stephanie (Polewarczyk) Kosiewski; three children, Sandra A. Anderson and her husband Robert of St. Marys, GA, Fred J. Kosiewski of Worcester and Joseph P. Kosiewski and his wife, Doris of Lancaster; four sisters; Bertha Roncone, Regina Kosiewski, Gladys Novick, all of Clinton, and Helen Gronowicz of Gardner; four grandchildren, Lori Haddad, Todd and Gary Kosiewski and Amy Richard; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Kamryn, Paisley and Jacob. Five brothers, Peter, Victor, Stanley, William and Francis Kosiewski predeceased him.

He was born in Lamont Furnace, PA, son of Boleslaus and Mariana (Wnuk) Kosiewski and was a longtime resident of Lancaster. Mr. Kosiewski worked as a tool & dye maker for Colorado Fuel & Iron for over 25 years and later for ITT Suprenant Co. of Clinton for ten years.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was an avid hunter and golfer. He was one of the original members of the International Golf Club in Bolton. He was a former member of the Polish American Veterans, Knights of Colombus, and the Clinton Lodge of Elks. In his younger years, he raced for Indian Motorcycles.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2005 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church Street, Clinton with a Mass at 9:00 AM in Our Lady of Jasna Gora Church, 128 Franklin Street, Clinton. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Monday, May 2nd from 5 – 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Mary Elementary School, 128 Franklin St., Clinton, MA 01510

 
Alfred A. Lenkiewicz, 80, of 367 Water St., formerly of 98 Larch St. died Saturday, January 1, 2005 in Shrewsbury Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

He leaves two daughters, Terry H. Ciavola of Clinton and Sandra J. Fellows of Charlton; two sisters, Emily Ciesluk of Clinton and Olga Flannery of Santa Fe, NM; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Christine and Brian Ciavola; his former wife, Margary B. (Day) Lenkiewicz of Fitchburg; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Zane and Mitchell Lenkiewicz, predeceased him.

He was born in Clinton, son of Antoni and Jadwiga (Gukiewicz) Lenkiewicz and was a lifelong resident.

He worked for many years as a typesetter at the former Colonial Press, Inc.of Clinton and later for the West Boylston School Department before his retirement. He previously worked at the family bakery business on Green St., and at Table Talk Pies, Worcester.

Mr. Lenkiewicz attended Clinton Schools and was a U.S.Army Veteran of WWII.

He was a member of Our Lady of Jasna Gora Church, Clinton Lodge of Elks, American Legion and the P.A.V. He enjoyed playing the Trombone, golfing, and was an avid Red Sox fan.

A funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 7, 2005 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Jasna Gora Church, 128 Franklin St. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Hudson, NH.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Mary Elementary School, 128R Franklin St., Clinton, MA 01510 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church Street is directing arrangements.
