GOD IS IN OUR MIDST

Creator God, we praise and thank you for your constant love and presence in our lives, our parishes and our entire Catholic community.

As we plan for the future of our parishes may we be always aware of the gifts and blessings of our faith tradition and our individual baptismal call.

We remember your promise – “Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in their midst. ”(Mt. 18:20)    

As we journey in faith, we pray that

… our minds be open to the guidance of the Spirit,
… our hearts be open to embrace opportunities for spreading the Good News,
… our eyes be open to see the many ways we are called to witness Christ in our parish and in the broader community,
….our hands be open to serve those in need.

MISSION: The Finance committee of Our Lady of Jasna Gora and Our Lady of the Rosary is responsible for the effective stewardship of their respective parishes. The committee may relate to the Pastoral Council, or other administrative parish body. The fiscal component should reflect Gospel values and overall parish and diocesan goals. Financial concerns and recommendations should be addressed within the context of the mission of our parishes.

Functions of the Finance Committee:

Advise pastor in all financial matters.

Prepare any financial information needed in accordance with total parish planning.

  • See that expenditures reflect the mission statement, goals and objectives of the parish.

  • Prepare the annual budget in consultation with the Pastor and other committees and in accordance with objectives set by the Parish Pastoral Council.

  • Review income and expenditures to determine that the parish is operating within the approved budget.

  •  Provide the parishioners with periodic and (at least) annual report of the financial state of the parish.

  • Study parish income and make recommendations to the Parish Pastoral Council for maintaining and increasing income to meet parish priorities and objectives.
